Bedroom Design Ideas For a Beach Themed Bedroom
One of the bedroom design ideas that appeals to me is to use beach décor. Colors for the beach makes me think of the light and breezy hues of blues from the ocean, yellows from the sun, and the beiges of the sand and shells. You could find bedding that has one of these colors. I would keep the bedding a solid color and use accessories more to invoke this theme. Throw pillows can be used to add interest to your bed and make it fun and inviting. Painting your walls in one of these light, beachy colors would really brighten your space.
Incorporating seashells, ocean prints, and other seaside accents would really make the theme stand out. What I learned from watching design shows on TV is that you should group your accessories in odd numbers because it is visually more appealing. I use groupings of 3 because I like a simple, less cluttered look, although larger areas may call for more accessories. An interesting group of accents on a table or dresser might consist of some shells beside a nice beach theme frame and a taller lamp. Use prints and photos on your walls to establish the theme throughout your bedroom.
Using an area rug, even if you have carpeting, will help to define the space and pull the room together. Of course, only use a rug that compliments the other beachy colors in the room.
